The Emerson Inn by the Sea is a first-class bed and breakfast located right on Cape Ann's rocky coast. The Emerson Inn is more than a bed & breakfast... it's a full service country inn as well. This elegant bed & breakfast has a turn-of-the-century ambiance that reflects the serenity of a bygone era. Guests can enjoy the ocean view from the inn's veranda, swim in the outdoor pool or enjoy its reflections at night. Half of the rooms face the ocean and a full breakfast is offered to guests from May through October. A continental breakfast is included from November through April. The Grand Cafe at the Emerson Inn by the Sea is an award-winning restaurant with spectacular oceanfront views and live piano music, serving classic and creative cuisine. There is also a lovely afternoon tea served in the elegant Grand Salon. For conferences or special functions, the beautiful ocean view terrace is available. Rockport is most famous as an art colony, but vacationers also enjoy sunbathing on the rocks and beaches, take walks through the woods or along the shore, or watch the whales from boats out of Rockport or Gloucester. The Rockport Golf Club has a fine nine hole course about three miles from the Emerson, and there are tennis courts less than a mile from the inn. The inn is also convenient to fine dining, shopping and many recreational activities. Numerous cultural events, concerts and festivals take place in Rockport and the Cape Ann area throughout the year.

1 Cathedral Avenue, Rockport, MA - From Boston/Logan International Airport: Take Route 1A North to Route 60 West. From Route 60 West to Route 1 North onto Route 128 North. Follow Route 128 through two rotaries and turn left onto Route 127 North at the traffic light. Continue approximately 4 miles (staying on Route 127). Take a sharp left Rockport's five corners (remaining on Route 127). Follow signs to Pigeon Cove. Continue approximately 2 miles and turn right onto Phillips Avenue at the Emerson Inn Sign.

Reservations cancelled more than 14 days prior to arrival for arrivals between 1/20/04-10/31/04 will be assessed a charge of $25. Reservations cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival for arrivals between 1/20/04-10/31/04 will be assessed a charge of $25 plus one night's room rate, tax recovery charges, cleaning fees, and any other inclusive surcharges. Reservations cancelled more than 48 hours prior to arrival for arrivals between 11/1/04-12/30/04 will be assessed a charge of $25. Reservations cancelled within 48 hours prior to arrival for arrivals between 11/1/04-12/30/04 will be assessed a charge of $25 plus one night's room rate, tax recovery charges, cleaning fees, and any other inclusive surcharges. A $25 change fee applies once the reservation has been confirmed. A credit card imprint or cash deposit is required at time of check in for telephone and any incidental charges that may be incurred. No refunds will be made for no-shows or early checkouts.
